I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been getting behind my new song 'Days Like This'
I've had so many lovely messages about the song & music video, so I thought I'd share a little more about it.
To be able to pay tribute to a man who impacted so many lives (including mine) in the music video for this song was really special...
The man in this video's name was Chris. He was my primary school teacher. His life was cut tragically short after a sudden and short battle with brain cancer in 2007. He left behind a wife and two very young children which made his passing even more heartbreaking. Singing at his funeral remains one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.
Having inspired many lyrics in this song...it was really special to be able to have his story become the centerpiece of this music video, through precious memories captured on his family's home video tapes.
There are so many moments in life that make us miss those people we wish were still here. This song is all about those days that we wish we could bring them back to see...and I know there are so many his family wishes he could have been here for
