Littlefair Set to Make Waves with Debut EP Forever Is a Long Time

Western Australian indie-folk rockers Littlefair are making their biggest statement yet with the release of their debut EP, Forever Is a Long Time, arriving 24 April. Known for their shimmering harmonies, evocative storytelling, and dynamic instrumentation, the five-piece band continues to cement their status as one of WA’s most exciting emerging acts.

Leading the EP is the emotionally charged single Prescription, a song that delves into the helplessness of watching someone trapped in a toxic relationship. “It’s about reaching out, but knowing change has to come from within,” explains lead vocalist and guitarist Jessica Depiazzi. “It’s cathartic to sing—especially the line ‘do you need a new prescription / maybe a new religion/someone else to believe in’—and I hope listeners feel that release too.”

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Lee Buddle at Crank Recording Studios, the EP draws comparisons to Fleetwood Mac, The Beths, and The Cranberries, blending soaring anthems with intimate moments. Forever Is a Long Time showcases Littlefair’s signature fusion of indie-rock, folk, and blues influences, creating a sound that is both timeless and deeply personal.

Riding the Momentum

Fresh off standout performances at the 2025 Nannup Music Festival and Beats in the Bay (supporting Sly Withers), Littlefair are on a strong upward trajectory. Their accolades include winning Emerging Artist of the Year at Nannup and being named a Top 20 finalist in the 2024 WAM Song of the Year Awards (Folk & Rock categories).
