2025 Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist, James Keith is bringing high energy and heart to the country scene once again with his latest single, ‘She Don’t’. The feel-good anthem about love and embracing the unexpected comes hot on the heels of his acclaimed 2024 debut album, Life Is Good Today.
‘She Don’t’ brings instant good vibes. With an intoxicating backbeat, unforgettable hooks and enough six-string riffage to make any guitar hero swoon, the loved-up single is a bonafide modern country hit. It’s a classic tale of boy meets girl, built for country fans.
“It tells the story of a city girl who finds herself in a small-town world, slowly falling for both the country life and the man who calls it home,” shares James. “It’s the kind of love story country fans live for - full of dust, riverside moments, and a whole lot of heart.”
James recalls the song found its feet after he and co-writer, Jax Tonic, stumbled onto the titular hook. “It was born in my factory in Mona Vale where Jax Tonic and I had a writing sesh. We came up with a catchy chord progression and from there the lyrics ‘She don’t, She don’t’ came out. Then we built the song around this theme”.
Recorded at Wilder Studios and produced by multiple Golden Guitar winning producer Matt Fell, ‘She Don’t’ is packed with the kind of melodic earworms and powerhouse vocals that have become James’ signature.
And fans won’t just be hearing the new single—they’ll be seeing it too. A live video of ‘She Don’t’, filmed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival’s Toyota Star Maker Grand Final, has dropped alongside the track, capturing the undeniable energy James brings to the stage.
James Keith is no stranger to making a mark. His debut album, Life Is Good Today, made an explosive entrance, hitting #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Albums Chart and #2 on the AIR Independent Albums Chart. That momentum carried him all the way to the 2025 Toyota Star Maker Grand Final, solidifying his reputation as one of country music’s most exciting new voices.
With a sound influenced by Luke Combs and Zac Brown Band, James has shared the stage with legends like Jon Stevens (Noiseworks / INXS) and delivered unforgettable performances at Lakeside Festival Forster and A Night in Nashville, held in Orange.
James isn’t slowing down anytime soon. With a string of shows lined up – including the Thirsty Cow Brewery Country Night in Wagga Wagga and the Forster Tuncurry Races – fans will have every opportunity to sing along with the man himself.
James Keith continues to carve out his place in Australian country music with his signature blend of powerhouse vocals, driving guitars, and feel-good storytelling. The amped-up anthem, ‘She Don’t’ is certain to be a hit for the rising star.
