St Kilda Roots and Unique Sound Tanya George, born and raised in St Kilda, Melbourne’s vibrant arts hub, brings evolutionary soul-jazzy-electro tones to new heights. Her four-octave vocal range captivates audiences, whether performing solo with vocal looping or alongside her dedicated band.

Festival Performances and Accolades A regular on the Australian festival circuit, Tanya has graced stages at St Kilda Festival, Womadelaide, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, and Queenscliff Music Festival, where she won the 2018 QMF Busking Competition.

Mastery in Vocal Looping Tanya refined her craft combining jazz, soul, and pop during her Bourke Street busking journey. Her phenomenal looping artistry earned her fourth place at the 2023 Gwangju Busking World Cup in South Korea.

Awards and Achievements Tanya's recognition includes the 2020 Alex Legg Memorial Foundation Award and finalist status on Voice Australia 2021, Team Rita Ora (Top 5). She also won Buskers by the Lake Festival 2022 and reached the Blues Fest Busking Semi-Finals.

Releases and Artistic Growth Tanya debuted with her solo EP Sonder in 2018, produced by Tommy Spender, celebrating a sold-out launch. She followed up with Normality in 2020, produced by Jimmy Alexander, further showcasing her innovative artistry.
